The place
The resort sits in the Sacramento Canyon, nestled among the pines, cedars and firs. The cabins are arranged around a courtyard alongside clear and peaceful Mears Creek, and a short walk brings you to the forests, the birds and the animals.
Azaleas scent the air in spring. Blackberries abound in summer. Majestic Mount Shasta is only twenty miles to the north, and Lake Shasta is twenty miles to the south, with beautiful wet caves to explore.

Where to stay
Cabins come in one, two and three bedrooms, with queen-size beds, sleeping anywhere from two to ten people. Every cottage has a full bath, a back deck, a wood-burning stove, a TV, and a fully equipped kitchen — coffee maker, microwave, dishes, pots and pans — with linens and towels included.

On the other side of the road from the cabins is the RV park: fifteen full-hookup sites, landscaped with shade and lawns, with laundry facilities on site.
Please note the cabins are not wheelchair accessible.
The family lodge
The lodge sleeps over fourteen people and has its own RV hook-ups. The restaurant-style kitchen is fully equipped, dishwasher included, and there is a washing machine and dryer for your convenience.
The great room is filled with all kinds of nostalgic memorabilia of bygone days. The deck has a gas BBQ and a sink, set among the trees overlooking babbling Mears Creek.
The canyon
The Sacramento River area offers white-water rafting, river tubing, swimming, limited fishing, cross-country skiing, golf, water skiing, climbing, walking — and relaxing.
